Organization of the trial

50 patients with allergic rhinitis underwent treatment using the Bionase® whilst a      futher 29 patients were given a placebo treatment (double-blind study) Treatment for 4.4 minutes three times a day. The period of treatment was 14 days Patients ranged from 12 to 68 years of age

The most important findings of the study

Allergic rhinitis, including hay-fever, can be satisfactorily treated using the Bionase®      phototheraphy 72% of the patients treated responded strongly to the Bionase® treatment The treatment is not suitable for people with nasal polyps
